Most of the images you see on this website are of newborns between 5 and 17 days after birth. At this age, they are still sleepy and we can get those sweet curled up poses, and if we are lucky, some dreamy smiles! After this age, they don’t sleep as deeply, often don’t like being moved around into different positions and start to lose that “newness” or “curliness” and may become colicky or develop “baby acne”.
To provide my clients with the highest quality, and non-rushed sessions, I am only taking a limited number of sessions per month. It is important to schedule your session while you are still pregnant to avoid disappointment. This way, I can add you to the list of babies due for that month. You can then add me to your “To Call” list after you have your baby, and we will pick the best time that falls within the first 17 days. However, if you just came across my website, and have an infant slightly older, please inquire as I can capture treasured images at any adorable baby stage.
All newborn sessions are done in my home studio located in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. No need to clean your home or rearrange your furniture to accommodate a photographer. My studio is warm and relaxed. Perfect for your little one to be cozy and stay in dreamland. Take this time to sit back relax while I capture beautiful images of your new baby. All newborn sessions begin at 10 am during the week (m,w,f).
I believe in simple, clean, organic, classic portraiture, a style that focuses on your beautiful baby. I don’t use a lot of “crazy props”. Some of my favorite images have no props at all. Just baby. 100% beautiful on their own. This way, they don’t get lost in the image. I do have simple props available at the studio including hats and headbands and lots of textures that I like to use. Newborns often look most beautiful naked or just with a hat, headband or wrap. Newborns are beautifully perfect…just as they came.
**If you are wanting newborn images that are not as those displayed on this site,
I suggest finding a photographer that can better represent the particular style you are after**
